On the morning of Friday, July 17, 2026, Apexschool Preschool students embarked on an exciting field trip to watch the "Hoa Đất Việt" Traditional Vietnamese Water Puppet Show at the Water Puppet Theater located within the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of History. Filled with excitement, the children enjoyed a memorable cultural experience while exploring one of Vietnam's most treasured traditional art forms.
This extracurricular activity is part of Apexschool's ongoing experiential learning program, which is regularly organized to help children learn through play while fostering a deeper appreciation of Vietnam's rich cultural heritage and traditional values.

"Hoa Đất Việt" – A Vibrant Celebration of Traditional Vietnamese Water Puppetry
Performed by a team of professional artists, the "Hoa Đất Việt" Traditional Vietnamese Water Puppet Show featured a captivating collection of classic water puppet performances, offering young audiences a colorful and engaging cultural journey. The show impressed the children with its harmonious blend of vibrant puppetry, graceful choreography, and lively traditional Vietnamese music, creating a magical fairy-tale atmosphere that captured their attention from beginning to end.
For preschoolers, this was much more than an entertaining performance. It was a valuable opportunity to discover one of Vietnam's most distinctive traditional folk art forms, which originated in the Red River Delta. Through the skillful performances of talented puppeteers, beloved characters such as Uncle Tễu, fairies, dragons, and phoenixes came to life on the water, leaving the children amazed and delighted.

A Carefully Planned Educational Field Trip
To ensure the children's safety and comfort throughout the excursion, Apexschool carefully planned every stage of the morning's schedule. From welcoming the children and serving breakfast at school to traveling safely to the theater and returning to campus, every detail was thoughtfully organized.
Homeroom teachers and supporting staff accompanied the students throughout the trip, supervising each small group closely and conducting regular headcounts at key points to ensure every child remained safe and accounted for.
After enjoying the nearly one-hour performance, the children were provided with a light snack and given time to rest and participate in gentle activities before boarding the bus back to school, where they continued with their regular afternoon learning schedule.

The Educational Value of a Cultural Experience
Beyond bringing joy and laughter, the field trip also helped nurture the children's appreciation for Vietnam's traditional performing arts from an early age. This reflects Apexschool's educational philosophy of combining classroom learning with meaningful real-world experiences, enabling children to grow not only academically but also emotionally, socially, and culturally.
Through experiential activities like this, students broaden their understanding of the world around them while creating lasting memories with their teachers and friends throughout their learning journey at Apexschool.
