On Friday, June 26, 2026, Apexschool Preschool students enjoyed a fun-filled and energetic field trip to Sunshine Farm in Hoc Mon. This extracurricular activity was organized to provide children with meaningful hands-on experiences, allowing them to explore nature, develop essential life skills, and foster independence from an early age.
A Colorful Day of Discovery at the Farm
Early in the morning, dressed in their familiar sports uniforms, Apexschool Preschool students eagerly gathered at school before setting off for Sunshine Farm. Upon arrival, the children quickly immersed themselves in a variety of traditional countryside activities, including catching freshwater clams, husking corn, catching ducks, and taking on exciting physical challenges such as crossing monkey bridges and suspension bridges—unique experiences that are rarely found in the heart of the city.
The adventure continued with hands-on activities such as rice milling, followed by plenty of fun at the water park and paddling small boats under the morning sunshine. At lunchtime, the children enjoyed a nutritious meal and rested in a spacious, well-ventilated rest area before continuing the afternoon with lively traditional folk games filled with laughter and excitement.
Children's Safety Always Comes First
Throughout the trip, Apexschool's teachers accompanied the children every step of the way, ensuring that each activity was carried out safely and smoothly. On average, one teacher was assigned to supervise every five to six children, allowing close observation, timely guidance, and immediate support whenever needed.
Attendance was carefully checked before and after every activity to ensure that all students were safe and accounted for. Homeroom teachers, group leaders, and the Sunshine Farm staff worked closely together throughout the excursion to provide a secure and well-organized experience.
In addition, the school prepared age-appropriate meals for the preschoolers, including a morning snack, a nutritious lunch, and an afternoon snack. A clean, safe, and comfortable resting area was also arranged so the children could enjoy a good nap before continuing the day's activities.
The Educational Value of a Real-World Experience
The Sunshine Farm field trip was much more than a fun day outdoors. It provided the children with meaningful opportunities to learn through real-life experiences, build self-confidence, develop independence, and strengthen teamwork with their classmates.
